What Jostein Gaarder forgot to mention from the prophet Amos

Jostein Gaarder, the Norwegian author of the literary chef d'oeuvre, "Sophie's World," has written an article in one of Norway's main papers, Aftenposten..
The article, titled "God's chosen people" has since been compared with Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf". He exposed his shallow Biblical knowledge and the Judeophobic paranoia that haunts his nightmares.

Gaarder takes upon himself the role of the prophet Amos. He will lead the jews back to God's ways and use the prophet's words uttered 2750 years ago to wake up Israel in the present war situation. He will chase the jews back to the 1948 border, eradicate the jewish state and send jews back as immigrants to other countries. In this context, however, Gaarder forgets important verses from the prophet. I will add these to his memory and have found something about Syria and Gaza.

"Because of the three great sins of Damascus —make that four—I'm not putting up with her any longer. She pounded Gilead to a pulp, pounded her senseless with iron hammers and mauls. " (Amos 1,3)

"Because of the three great sins of Gaza —make that four—I'm not putting up with her any longer. She deported whole towns and then sold the people to Edom. For that, I'm burning down the walls of Gaza, burning up all her forts." (Amos 1,9)

Not so good future for those that capture people....

When it comes to Lebanon, God put this on Amo's heart: "Because of the three great sins of Tyre —make that four—I'm not putting up with her any longer. She deported whole towns to Edom, breaking the treaty she had with her kin. For that, I'm burning down the walls of Tyre, burning up all her forts."

Hizbullah's city is responsible for firing Katjusja-rockets with the sole purpose of killing jews. Also Fajr-5 and Zelzal-2 rockets have been prepeared.

The prophet's word to Israel in Amos 9,11-12 is much more encouraging: "But also on that Judgment Day I will restore David's house that has fallen to pieces. I'll repair the holes in the roof, replace the broken windows, fix it up like new. David's people will be strong again and seize what's left of enemy Edom, plus everyone else under my sovereign judgment." God's Decree. He will do this.

And from verse 14: "They'll rebuild their ruined cities. They'll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They'll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I'll plant them, plant them on their own land. They'll never again be uprooted from the land I've given them." God, your God, says so.

A wave of antisemitism is roaring Norway with confusion in their understanding of the Bible and the present situation in the Middle East. Iran has declared that Israel shall be removed from the face of the earth, and support Hezbollah that actually started this war. Israel acts in self defence. It is a good thing that Gaarder's article has started a big debate in Norway. Politicians, writers and the main media in the country take side with the jews and distance themselves from the Gaarder's article.

I found a prophecy of Stephen Hanson. What he prophezised more than one year ago can come to happen. USA will not be able to end the war in Iraq.

New Years Eve I predicted that something would happen to Ariel Sharon that would facilitate Benjamin Netanyahu to become the new prime minister. Though I am very sorry to hear of Sharon's massive stroke, it appears that it will facilitate Netanyahu replacing him in the next election.

Sharon's sudden fall from power has brought alarm to the liberals in Israel who still live in the delusion that giving the Palestinians the West Bank and at least half of Jerusalem will bring peace.

Leftist Israeli journalist and senior fellow at the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies Hirsh Goodman described Netanyahu as a man whose policies are diametrically opposed to Sharon's and under whose leadership the Roadmap "peace" plan would bog down.

Jerusalem News Wire correspondent Stan Goodenough also spotlighted this concern:

And as expressions of concern for Sharon and for the peace process were being aired from the White House to 10 Downing Street and from Paris to Beijing, expressions of consternation and anxiety were being voiced by many "experts" at the prospect of former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu being returned to power in March.

As I warned in my New Year's Eve message, the United Nations, United States and European Union have all used the Oslo Agreement as a basis to force Israel into indefensible borders by turning over strategic land to them. Israel is being forced to make one-sided concessions to the Palestinians who have not fulfilled even one promise that they vowed to do. They have not disarmed the terrorist groups among them. They have not stopped terrorist attacks against Israel. They have allowed Gaza to become a terrorist stronghold from which they bombard Israel daily with increasingly more powerful and lethal weapons.

No one seems to have a realistic view of Israel's best interests except conservatives and religious Israelis. They are joined by Bible-believing Christians who believe in God's unconditional promises to Israel.

As Goodenough noted, "Sharon's willingness to proceed with the forced removal of his people from their homes in Gaza pushed hundreds of thousands of Jews to prayer. Untold numbers of Christians, too, went to prayer for divine intervention." It appears that those prayers have been dramatically answered.

Mr. Netanyahu has the clearest overall understanding of radical Islam's intentions and how to deal with them. In my recent interview with him, he clearly outlined the disasters that the Oslo Agreement and its resulting plans have brought upon Israel. He also cogently set forth the most brilliant analysis of what he would do to set Israel free from the resulting policies that are clearly leading Israel into destruction.

I believe his election will bring Israel back to reality. I believe that Israel's survival as a nation is quite literally at stake.

I found the article below on a forum - I do not know where it comes from. It is a good description of the situation in Jerusalem when WorldPride was cancelled. The religious people goes together and declare that they want the gay-festivals cancelled.

In Sao Paulo, Brazil, 1.5 million christians walked the streets to proclaim 'Jesus Christ is Lord'. Few days later 2 millions homosexuals and lesbians crowded the same streets in the same city.

It is very easy to see the connection between marching for Jesus as a prophetic act and the correspondig counterattack by the devil. However we must not regard the homosexuals as our enemies. The homosexuals are hostages in the hands of the devil. Our primary task is to free the homosexuals and help them with their problems.

JERUSALEM – Senior Christian, Jewish and Muslims leaders blasted a world homosexual event scheduled to be held in Jerusalem this summer in a rare gathering here yesterday of senior figures from all three major faiths.

"We are shocked to have received notice that a worldwide assembly of 10 days, including an immodest parade devoid of minimal propriety, is scheduled to be held in Jerusalem this summer," said the leaders in a joint statement. "It will offend the very foundations of our religious values and the character of the Holy City."

Prominent figures present included Israel's two chief rabbis, Yona Metzger and Shlomo Amar, Latin Patriarch Michel Sabach, Greek Patriarch Iranius, Archbishop Piatro Bietro Sombi, Grand Islamic Mufti Sheikh Temimi and other senior religious leaders, each of whom also talked individually, with speeches given in Hebrew, English and Arabic.

The cooperation between the religious leaders came in response to World Pride 2005, a mass international gathering of homosexual, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals planned for August.

The homosexual event, organized by InterPride, the International Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered Pride Coordinators, was previously held in 2000 in Rome, where it attracted about a quarter of a million participants. Images of the Rome festivities, featured on various homosexual websites, shows throngs of shirtless men in shorts and bikini briefs congregated on the streets, some of them holding hands.

The theme for this year's Jerusalem gathering, according to the event website, is "Love without borders," with the goal of bringing a "new focus to an ancient city through a massive demonstration of LGBT dignity, pride and boundary-crossing celebration. In these times of intolerance and suspicion, from the home of three of the world's great religions, we will proclaim that love knows no borders."

The 2005 event brochure explains Jerusalem was picked as this year's site in part to strike a religious chord.

"WorldPride 2005 will bring thousands of us to Jerusalem to confront preconception with reality, prejudice with an opportunity for understanding, in a way that will capture the attention of the world. Together we will proclaim that in this ancient religious city – and in this region – we, too, belong."

Speaking at yesterday's conference, Sabach said, "This gathering around a common purpose is significant. We must maintain the sacred character of Jerusalem and insist on the holiness of Jerusalem for all three religions."

"Islam prohibits homosexuality," said Temimi. "We cannot permit anyone to make the holy city dirty to show their sexual needs. ... We know what happened to Sodom and to Lot. We don't want that to happen to us. God will punish everyone who doesn't raise their voice and stop this event from happening."

Sombi explained he is worried the homosexual gathering will be "seen as a provocation. No one can be sure it will be peaceful and will not provoke a reaction from the large numbers who are against the event."

Rabbi Yehuda Levin, director of Jews for Morality, and a delegate of the Rabbinical Alliance of America, which cosponsored the press conference, urged the religious leaders present to "not let today be the end of it. We must sustain opposition with unrelenting advocacy on behalf of the sanctity of Jerusalem and the sensitivities of its dwellers."

He told WND World Pride is "an affront to all people of faith," and said he is calling on the public to petition Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski to cancel the event.

The Rabbinical Alliance last week sponsored a poll showing nearly 70 percent of the general Israeli population of Jews, Christians and Muslims are opposed to Jerusalem hosting World Pride 2005. Nearly 100 percent of the Orthodox Jewish segments surveyed said they were opposed to the event. A poll of "non-religious" Israelis also showed a majority against the homosexual gathering.

In response to the religious conference, Hagai El-Ad, executive director of the Jerusalem Open House, which is cosponsoring World Pride, said, "The major theme for Jerusalem WorldPride 2005 is 'Love without borders.' Ironically, the fundamentalist voices rallying against this message demonstrate that intolerance and racism too have no borders. No one has a monopoly on the interpretation of the word of God – and Jerusalem is the essential place to make a global statement for peace, democracy, pluralism and pride."

Meanwhile, other religious groups have been trying to stop the World Pride gathering. As WorldnetDaily reported, the Jerusalem Prayer Team, a Christian group that asks members to pray for and encourage the people of Israel, has called the planned homosexual event a moral abomination and is seeking 1 million signatures on a petition demanding the event be canceled.

40.000 homosexuals plan to occupy the capital of Norway - Oslo in june. Very few people have lifted their voice against a hedonistic festival that will end up in sex, perversion and promiscuity in the main city of Norway.

What about the health of the homosexual? An american report says they day before the age of 50 - they get a lot of diseases - and have a sexual life that cannot be described in a decent paper.

Are these facts a lie? If they are why do we never hear it from the homosexuals organisations?

There has been a big Jesus march in Sao Paulo in Brazil. 1,5 million christians crowded the streets of the city. This is a good inspiration for the march planned to take place in Oslo 4.june.

Now, Brazil was the first one for a bigger celebration of Jesus Christ. Brazil's 13th "March for Jesus" began Thursday morning as hundreds of thousands of faithful from several evangelical groups walked more than 1 mile from the University of Sao Paulo's School of Medicine to skyscraper-lined Avenida Paulista.

The purpose of the march, and of all the other ones they have organized over the years, is to conquer Brazil for Jesus Christ, said Camila Nascimento, a spokeswoman for the Reborn in Christ Church that arranged the rally.

Evangelical churches like Reborn in Christ and the Universal Kingdom of God have grown rapidly in recent decades in this predominantly Roman Catholic country.

This march started at the university and ended up in the city. In Oslo the march will start in the city and end up at the university - because the university area is the most prominent place in the city.
